The canes are back!

By the way, if you are such a big fan...how many times have you been to the Old Orange Bowl or to LandShark stadium to see Miami play? Have you ever stepped foot on the Campus? Have you ever been to Miami? Just curious...Be truthful...Don't try to BS me...

Last year was my first trek down to Miami. I was there for the home opener against Charleston Southern, went on a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale the week before the game. I went to campus and spent some good time there, really enjoyed it a lot.

Keep in mind me and the wife drove 15 hours or so, down to S. Florida just to do the cruise and see the game and spend some time on campus. 15 hours or more is a lot further down the road than it is to get to Blacksburg from here--so I don't wanna hear any BS about how you've been to Blacksburg more often than I've been to Miami. It's a bit more difficult to just say "I'm goin to Miami" w/o organizing a formal vacation/trip unless you're just a high-roller.

And to catch you up on something a lot of people know on here, I almost went to Miami. I had a partial academic scholly to go there, and just about pulled the trigger on it. BUT, I looked at the expenses involved, and what kind of local college offers I had, and decided to stay home and commute to UVAW. BUT--Miami's been a big part of my life since the fargin Hail Flutie game--first game I ever watched & remember most of when I was little, and I came out of that being a Miami fan. I've been through the probation era, and have learned plenty about the program's past pre-Schnellenberger and all the success, dating back to your guys like George Mira, Ted Hendricks, Chuck Foreman, Rubin Carter, and Frank Smith.

But the winning out is a BIG IF for both.

However, after both games on Saturday and seeing how both teams played and the quality of each opponent--I've got a million times more faith in Miami running the table than I do VT. I think any team out of GT, UNC, UVA, BC, or Maryland can beat VT. And out of those five...all Miami needs is 2 to win against VT.

I know you've been googling all weekend. C'mon--tell us how elite the Chokies are and how they're a national title contender. Tell us how great they are Mr. Seasontixsince1987. Or have you pulled a Kaiser Soze and disappeared into thin air like I figured you would? Come on out, my pet project, and show your face on here after running that flap about how great they were. Funny how we ain't heard your analysis on the game yet.

I am right here...We got beat...no excuses...It is sad you had to have another team do your work for you, the canes couldn't get it done 31-7...and by the way, you cannot read or spell...I said IF both teams ran the table, we would go. Another thing...your a "want to be fan"...I have been to see my team in "your" team's stadium...oh about four more times than you have...Miami, Ga Tech, nor VA TECH has not won anything yet...we have a lot of football remaing...we will see if your punk a** is still talking in a few weeks...

No, what's sad is getting beat by a team that Miami beat 33-17 and only gave up 95 yards rushing to (VT gave up 309) when you're supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread, best one-loss team in the country, best team in the ACC, National Title contender, etc...all that idiocy that was being bandied about before the Wreck took the Chokies down. Solid work...FAIL!!!

And I think that was one of the problems with VT getting beat. Just not ready to play and GT handing them their arses. You'd think kids would learn that just because one team that you beat has beaten a team you're getting ready to play doesn't mean you will win. I saw the same thing almost happen to GC Friday night. They got up quick on VHS 14-0 and just about quit. Had no fire and almost got beat. But back to VT, it's the same old story. Chance to actually prove something and, well, they CHOKE plain and simple. I'm a big VT fan but the truth is the truth and it's pretty disappointing to say the least.

I know VT isn't on the level of a UF, Bama, Texas, or USC but heck, if they could luck into the title game you know that old saying...Even a blind squirrel can find a nut every once in a while

Nah, I can take a loss, even one to VT at Lane. When you've got a history like Miami's that's bigger than one conference game, you tend to not get so torn up as a fan. Now, what IS killing me is how painfully dumb you are, Mr. King of All VT Fans. So yeah, I'm pretty torn up over that...lol
